Educational Account Executive

Are you an experienced leader in education? Do you have a rich network of connections within schools, districts, and educational communities that you want to help engage and educate students through esports and video games?

As an Education Account Executive, you'll play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between cutting-edge edtech solutions and the institutions that can benefit from them. Your expertise in K-12 and higher education realms and your ability to engage educational communities will be the cornerstone of expanding Gameplan’s impact.

We are seeking an experienced K-12 executive who can collaborate closely with CTE Departments, schools, and district administrators, as well as regional and state organizations, to develop and enhance their esports curriculum offerings.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers within schools, districts, and regional/state educational organizations.

  • Work with CTE and STEAM departments to assess, develop, and expand esports curriculum offerings.

  • Identify client needs, challenges, and goals to enable a solution implementation tailored to their requirements.

  • Showcasing how Gameplan’s edtech solutions can meet the identified needs and contribute to potential clients' goals.

  • Navigate deals that can range from $3,000 to over $500,000 annually.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit and meet clients' educational goals.

  • Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and understand educational trends within the K-12 sector.

  • Gather and provide feedback from the educational community to inform product development and marketing strategies.

  • Represent Gameplan at educational conferences, trade shows, and other industry events to present on stage and network with educators and decision-makers.

Educational background is necessary (either through sales or in a school/district).

Who You Are

You are self-motivated with a solid work ethic, always ready to learn and help others. You have a passion for education and are driven to reach all students, especially those who have been underserved. You see the importance of video games in education and how esports can prepare students for college, careers, and teach essential life skills.

Skills and Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in education with roles of increasing responsibility.

  • District level decision-making and on-the-ground experience.

  • A large network of people, including principals and school/district administrators.

  • Comfortable using and showcasing digital platforms.

  • Understanding how school budgeting and funding could be used to pay for curriculum.

  • Knowledge of how Career Technical Education is structured and how esports and video games could benefit those subjects.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in sales

  • Experience in using a CRM system (like HubSpot)

  • Knowledge about the esports industry
