Education Specialist and Author John McCarthy joins Learn2Esport as Advisor

Uppsala, Sweden • Learn2Esport warmly welcomes John McCarthy, Ed.S. to the company as an Education Advisor. John is an Adjunct Professor at Madonna University for the School of Education, Graduate Program, and an Education Consultant supporting schools internationally about student agency and innovative instruction such as Differentiation, Project Based Learning, Digital Citizenship, and Global Professional Skills. He’s the author of the book, “So All Can Learn: A Practical Guide to Differentiation” and is a contributing writer for Edutopia. With over 30 years of experience in education, John McCarthy has been a secondary teacher who coached various high school sports teams. He holds a Bachelor of Science in History and Education, a Master of Science in English Literature, and an Education Specialist in Leadership.

An active gamer for over 30 years, he became involved with esports in 2015 when his son started training in hopes of making a team. Over the years, he educated himself about esports as a culture, a business, and a global phenomenon. As a strong advocate for student voice, John recognized how esports and academic learning is a powerful opportunity for learners.

As an Education Advisor for Learn2Esport and Gameplan.gg, the new esports management platform, John will be advising on the design of the educational approach of the platform, creating learning material guidelines in accordance with international learning standards, core curriculum strategy, and learning assessments.
