Guild is developing the esports stars of tomorrow through their Academy, by using Gameplan.

Guild Esports a global team organisation and lifestyle brand, the UK-based global esports business co-owned by David Beckham, today announced the launch of ‘Guild Academy’, an esports player development initiative aimed at establishing a unique talent pipeline for esports athletes, and providing all players of any ability individualised support and personalised challenges, which is based on the conventional sports academy model.

The Guild Academy, which is central to Guild’s strategy of building world-class esports athletes, is world-leading and will play a critical role in developing Guild’s top youth talent, who will be coached and mentored by industry leaders to enhance their skill sets in preparation for a career in Esports, whether through professional competition or alternative development pathways.

Joe Sutton, Director of Academy at Guild Esports said, “We’re very proud to have created such a special and unique academy. The level of training and development resources we have on offer to players of all abilities is what sets the Guild Academy apart. We’ll be working to provide each player the tools to reach their gaming potential, whilst also setting them up with life skills for the future. Gameplan has enabled us to provide these opportunities to players around the world.”

The scale and quality of the Guild Academy distinguishes Guild apart from any other esports organisation. Guild is using Learn2Esport’s Gameplan platform to run the online academy with a physical athlete-development structure modeled after the Premier League and inspired by David Beckham’s experiences with the Manchester United Academy, and what has been built at Inter Miami CF.

The Guild Academy includes tools and resources to help participants improve through gameplay coaching coupled with a holistic approach to training that includes nutrition, sleeping habits, and psychological support. The platform provides coaches a complete view and understanding of the participant’s development that will allow them to optimize performance.

Rasmus Sandström, CEO of Learn2Esport said, “In a short period of time, Guild has been able to create and solidify a brand that stands for quality. We share the same values and vision about how esports can be used as a tool to help kids grow with the help of their biggest passion. We are extremely proud to deliver our platform Gameplan and help Guild run a world-class academy that truly will make a difference for young gamers.”
